The Wedding Ceremony - Church or Nature?
The first thing you should decide regarding your
ceremony is location. Below is a list of the most popular options,
in no particular order.
A church - be sure you receive a list of rules
and regulations. Some churches do not permit the flower girl to
toss petals, for guests to toss rice at the end of the ceremony
and can be particular about the style of decorations you use.
A banquet hall or party center - these places
usually have a designated area for your ceremony, most are outdoors.
The room or garden is tastefully decorated and allows you to choose
the chair setup for your guests, should you decide not have the
traditional two isles for each family.
A Charter Boat -This is perfect for the nautical
lovers! Most big cities have a charter boat that tours the border
of the city. Most ceremonies take place on the deck and offers
guests not only a view of the city but a unique wedding experience.
Local Museum -This seems like an odd location
for a ceremony, but for the art lovers its perfect. You can choose
an indoor or outdoor ceremony here. Most have flowing water and
your guests can enjoy the history and art displays.
The Beach -Imagine the sights and sounds of the
ocean as you recite your vows to one another. A gazebo or platform
is extended onto the beach with enough room for about 20 people.
Some couples will have the reception for both sides of the family
but only have the parents; grandparents and bridal party attend
the ceremony.
Country or Athletic Club -You will have to be
a member to reserve one of these locations, but they can be elegant.
Local Park -this option has grown in popularity.
The fall season offers a beautiful backdrop to your wedding photos.
You can decide what type of atmosphere you want to enjoy during
your ceremony with a flowing stream or waterfall, an open field,
or a secluded opening surrounded by trees.
